The band were heavily influenced by the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) that emerged in the early nineteen eighties, which
was spearheaded by bands such as Iron Maiden, Diamond Head & Saxon, other influences like Black Sabbath, Scorpions, Megadeth, Dio & others would also influence the musical direction Agincourt would take.

Agincourt songs have received substantial airplay over the years
at local, national & international level, along with video
appearances on national TV .The band have also joined the distinguished
list of artists who have recorded a session for BBC Radio 1, at their famous
Maida Vale Studios in London.
The band are currently recording a new album which is due for release this summer.
