Blubeats origins go way back, three members having come from an original 80s band writing their own material called the Quixotics but more recently covering old soul/blues/rock songs
At the heart of Blubeat are our three female vocalists: producing professionally crafted vocal arrangements, and fronted by Sue Tucker, a fantastically dynamic singer she has fantastic charisma and stage presence and is a natural at working an audience.
One of Leicestershire´s premier soul bands Blubeat has been playing to audience´s in the region for 15 years. Formed by Nick Ian and Su, the band has gone through several line ups over the years and currently comprises the following members:
Sue: lead vocals and bootie shaker extraordinaire
Ian Grayling: senior citizen, loud guitars and musical arrangements
Wandsworth Nick: drums/ dynamics and stress (he´s had a hard life!)
Sue Keane the Ju Jitsu Queen (backing vocals and percussion )
Colin `slapper´ Salter), disco junkie Bass
Gavin Dilkes - trumpet and `piss taker´
Sarah ........ sax professional - yes ... she does it for a full-time job
Ruby backing vocals and helps to lower the average age of the band ... significantly
