Band Info

Elephant Talk play a unique fusion of Folk, World, fuelled by a combination of eclectic backbeats ranging from: Dub, Drum n' Bass breakbeats to Trance and Techno.
A new line-up of skilled musicians include: original member Jon Maybey on guitar, mandolin, loops and programs, professional fiddle player Matt Tarling and singer/songwriter Sarah Joy. The acclaimed Aussie Singer/Songwriter Andrea Soler will also be making her debut with E.T at The Chippenham Folk Festival in the summer of 2009.

The group make a seamless transformation from traditional acoustic tunes and original songs to “hugely uplifting instrumental music for the head, heart and dance floor”

“Festival favourites” Elephant Talk have been described as “original, hypnotic and awe inspiring.” They have recorded 5 albums and toured throughout Europe and the UK

They begin 2009 with a new set of material consisting of traditional Breton, Celtic and Eastern flavoured tunes. Now joined by the singers Sarah and Andrea the group has taken on a whole new image and sound that simply put, looks and sounds divine! Beautiful, heartfelt songs, soaring fiddle melodies, acoustic guitar, electric mandolin with "live" sampling, beats, breaks and hypnotic effects combine to create an "awesome and uplifting sound".

The latest studio album 'Natty Loon' was recorded and released in early 2007, and the band played a 10 date UK tour in March. The first run of 'Natty Loon' completely sold out, but the album has been re-released and is now available from the band for £12 including postage and packing...
