Band Info

Richard Heath - Singing & guitar, harmonica, ukelele | Mick Fellows - Banjo | Buzby Bywater - Upright bass | * full band with Lucy Collinge-Hill on fiddle, backing vocal.

Richard and Buzby first met at the beginning of the 90's when they worked together as the rhythm section for Mack & The Boys, they later did the same for The Bushburys before Richard stripped his drum kit down, got hold of a washboard and went on to form The Gravelly Hillbillies with Gary & Tony Edwards. In 1999 Buzby & Richard got together for a one off set at Moseley Festival, Birmingham - The PA cut out but rather than give up they unplugged and busked the rest of the set amongst the audience. This was a great debut for 'The Tipsy Gents' as they named themselves, gigs since then have been about enjoying the songs and making sure everybody gets to be part of it. Richard Heath met Mick Fellows in Summer 04 who is also an ex drummer, this band sure has Rhythm! it was then that The Tipsy Gents duo became The Richard Heath Band.
