Band Info

A three-piece band bringing electric Blues to pubs, clubs and parties.

From the 1960s to today, from East London to the Wild West of Ireland (and some in between,) here’s the Borderline Blues Band.

Chris (guitar and vocals,) Dave (bass) and John (drums) are originally from Essex, Edinburgh and London. Now living around the Welsh borders, we found each other via the internet and started playing together towards the end of 2009. Between us we have well over 100 years of playing experience. These days we are quite busy, usually playing 3 gigs a month in Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Shropshire, mid-Wales and beyond.

We offer an eclectic mix of bluesy covers bordering on other things revived from lesser-known artists such as Fontaine Brown, John Loudermilk, Earl King, Junior Wells, Keb Mo, Freddie King, Steve Earle and Willie Dixon, but we always include a few well-known favourites from Peter Green, Billie Holiday, Jimi Hendrix, Rory Gallagher, Gary Moore, ZZ Top and Cream.

Our small PA will suit most small/medium sized venues. Our usual set is a traditional 2 x 50 minute affair but this (and anything else) can be discussed. We can supply artwork and photos for your own advertising or our usual poster with your venue’s details on.

We’re happy to talk to you, even if we don’t ultimately end up playing for you!
