Winning Guitar Wars, headlining a successful Indie night, playing Live on BBC radio, auditions with record labels and their first EP successfully recorded, Carousel Circus have come a long way in just a year.
Formed as a full band on the 10th July 2004, the Circus had their first full gig as a four piece when they entered Guitar Wars, a local battle of the bands. Defeating bands from Tamworth, Sutton Coldfield, Lichfield and Coventry the band's belief in themselves and their music fired them to victory, and from that point there was no turning back. The band then wanted to focus on playing as many live gigs as possible, and went on to play venues all over the midlands, including Birmingham, Walsall and Wolverhampton, taking their unique, inspired sound along.
The next milestone for the Circus came when they appeared on the Ben Turner show on BBC WM, where they played an acoustic set to an audience of around 10,000 listeners. This was in the same week as the Headline appearance at Fracture, an Indie night which drew rave reviews from the local press.
With the EP "13:33" behind them, Carousel Circus are out to prove that originality and belief are all they need to be a success, and rolling Jesus can roll forever more...
