Band Info

People hearing George's songs for the first time often suspect they have heard them before. His is real music, rhythm and melody and lyrics that mean something. Time and again, in a noisy bar, George will start singing a song and by the second verse, conversations are abandoned and heads are turning curiously to look and listen. Listeners respond from the heart. Singers hear his songs and want to sing them. George has been singing and playing instruments since he was a child. He began performing and writing songs as a teenager and has been doing so ever since. He spent several years playing streets, bars and clubs in Europe and eventually New York in the 80s, where he became a central figure in the then burgeoning roots music scene. It is in New York that he became known as George Breakfast
