Band Info

With three albums "B", "Nobody Else" and "Little Victories" under their belt, festival appearances covering three continents and a huge touring schedule that takes them from Aberdeen to the Channel Islands, BRUISE are an independent, original band who have carved themselves a credible niche in the music industry. With fans ranging from BBC presenters including Janice Long and Tom Robinson to Grammy winning producer Pete Smith (The Police, Sting). Bruise have stamped their uncompromising identity on an audience hungry for originality. Singer Isobel Morris is one of Britain´s finest songwriters whose songs are sung widely on the folk circuit. Her lyrics have been taught in schools. She is currently collaborating with Cathy Lesurf (Fairport Convention, Albion Band). The other half of this duo Jim Kimberley is a top flight session drummer whose recording and touring credits include Mark Knopfler, Nick Heyward, Paul Young and Squeeze.

In 2013 Bruise featured on the Nokia Music folk compilation alongside greats such as Kate Rusby and Richie Havens. Bruise were Video Star band of the week: their video Jennifer receiving over one million hits with thousands of fan videos uploaded onto YouTube. Isobel and Jim have recently become review writers for Guitarist and Total Guitar magazine. These are exciting times for Bruise and the live show reflects this with stylish and emotive performances from dreamy folk flavored pop to jagged and seductive rock. Currently recording their 4th album this band are changing the shape of folk-rock - a must see!
