Band Info

A melting pot of indie pop's peak, Get Inuit bring to mind the wilting euphoria of Yuck, the barbed wire hooks of Weezer and the all-out ballsiness of Speedy Ortiz, filtered through a surf-tinged summery haze.

Hailing from the riverside industrial town of Sittingbourne, Kent, the group have notched up shows with the likes of Slaves, PUP, DZ Deathrays and Art Brut while honing their craft over 2014.

Self-recorded by the band's guitarist James Simpson, Get Inuit release their debut EP 001 on February 23rd, with a full-length tentatively scheduled for the summer. It sees the group combine the bouncy indie and punk influence of their Alcopop brethren with a delicious surf-pop sway – despite the fact that, as the band are eager to point out, “none of us can actually surf”.
