Band Info

From Beatnik busking on the road to St Ives to genre-busting mix-ups with skiffle, jazz and the ancestors of freaky folk, guitarists John Renbourn and Wizz Jones have helped to define the sound of British acoustic music for half a century. With Pentangle and Ship of Fools, in duo with Bert Jansch, and in a long solo career of continuous invention, Renbourn has become perhaps the most distinctive fingerstyle player of them all. Wizz Jones is slightly less famous, but can count Bruce Springsteen among his fans. The combination of these rather special gentlemen will give you an evening of magical music and humorous tales blending guitar and song.
