Tom has added some new players in this special project, dedicated to exploring the genius of Duke Ellington and his long-time collaborator Billy Strayhorn. It features one of the UK’s leading singers Cleveland Watkiss making a first appearance for Birmingham Jazz. The group features an all-star cast of musicians, each one defined by their unique voice as performers. They work together to not only interpret the music of Ellington, but transmit the joyful spirit of the dance hall music and his legendary stage presence. Line up; Tom Harrison alto sax, Cleveland Watkiss vocals, Robert Mitchell piano, Daniel Casimir bass & David Lyttle drums
