BIOGRAPHY

Rubikon: "A limit that when passed or exceeded permits of no return and typically results in irrevocable commitment."

"We're in a scene its down and theres nothing around" - 'Dreamer'.

''Average is what other people do!'' - 'Don't You Know It's True'.

''You've got that city life, working hard on nine to five'' - 'Forever Gone'.

It's this kind of thinking which inspires The Rubikons to be the self-proclaimed best band in the country, writing big songs meant for the big stage. Now we're just waiting for it all to kick off!

"Listen to Forever Gone and the rest of our songs! We're all sick of working nine to five jobs, there's just too many people who settle for an average lifestyle, and that's what we get across in our songs" - Pete Forbes

In June 2006, the band recorded there first set of demos with acclaimed producer Gavin Monoghan (The Twang, Kings of Leon, Editors, Bloc Party & Ryan Adams). The band have recently just finished recording there second batch of songs with Gavin and will be available to listen to on here or to buy at gigs very soon.

''There's a lot of really good bands out there but they're all pleased to be playing small venues to small amounts of people! I want the adrenaline rush of playing to thousands, not the compromise of a sweaty club! We want arena's and stadium's!'' - Daniel Wheway

Last summer, the group began their very own self financed 3 and a half month tour around the UK playing over 50 gigs along the way. Week by week, the band's following was growing and the word was starting to spread.

Right now, the band are taking a break from playing live to focus are writing more and more material and recording more tracks as they go along. The band have been using Pete's house to record all the new songs before heading into the studio to record them properly. Keep checking the bands myspace page as the Home Demos are being uploaded and changed around weekly.

The band are planning on hitting the live scene later on this year. Keep an eye out for local gigs being announced very soon.
