Band Info

The Heathers! Formed September 2006 from an unlikely crew Gathered together from around the British Isles . A guitarist from Gloucester, a Bass player from Birmingham and A raggedy ass Scotsman picked off the pavement in Stirling. Thrown together kicking and screaming with a great drummer for a few weeks, the result is immediate. Several fist fights and reconciliations later the guys have given birth to some heart stopping, hair raising songs From the immaculate vocals to the strong choruses and dynamite lyrics ‘the Heathers’ show a passion for music that is reminiscent of the Kinks, mashed in with some early REM . David Gwynne is a contradiction in terms, the gob of a teenager and the singing voice of an Arc angel. Despite being in his early twenties Matt Mconnell Mann has toured with Notables since he was sixteen. playing with Simon Fowler, Eddie Reader, Black, The Courtesy Group (with Fyfe from the Guillemots) including supports with Alabama 3 ,Rosie Thomas ,Mohair the Ivories and many more. Murray Gardiner superb lead guitarist and gifted pianist rocks like a toddler on whiz, Finally the Professor Rob Peters adds the stability of an ingenious drummer that has played with some of the worlds finest and lived to tell the tale!
