The Ryde

The Ryde are a 4-piece band based in the West Midlands, originally formed in 2001.

The sound and style of the band has a Sixties retro feel and is mostly resembled to bands of that era, with big Hammond and loud guitar.

All four members of The Ryde are capable songwriters offering varied styles and influences to the band. In total the band has written well over 200 songs. Their live sets include all original
material consisting of raw Rock ‘n’ Roll numbers, acoustic ballads and huge anthems.

Having played wellover 200 gigs, they have supported some big bands along the way. These include The Open (signed to Loog Records) at The Varsity in Wolverhampton, We Are Scientists
(signed to Virgin Records) at The Little Civic, Wolverhampton, The Foundations with Clem Curtis at the Brewood Music Festival, and sixties rock band, Blue Cheer at The Robin Hood 2 in Bilston.

Kerrang radio have been quoted as saying The Ryde are ‘the modern day equivalent of the Rolling Stones’ and ‘one of the only bands in the midlands with that huge rock sound’.

The Ryde have been working hard to perfect their styleand to achieve the quality needed to capture the attention of promoters, record companies and new fans nationwide.
