Band Info

The Pretenderers perform all of the big hits, such as Brass in Pocket, Back on the Chain Gang and I'll Stand By You and can offer a full 90 minute performance
The band draw on their professional experience as musicians to make this tribute band as authentic as possible.

The Pretenderers were formed in August 2006 and found themselves in a Hampshire recording studio with great results. The songs recorded were Back on the Chain Gang, Brass in Pocket ,Kid and Talk of The Town.

Liverpool born singer/songwriter/guitarist Jo Griffiths has been performing, writing and recording for 15 years. Having grown up in the late 70's and 80's The Pretenders music had a great affect on Jo, they provided the soundtrack for that era, and as songwriter herself Jo has great admiration for Chrissy Hynde and her brilliant songs. Since moving to London 10 years ago Jo has continued performing her own songs playing at venues including The Theatre Clwyd, Wales, The Pavilion Theatre in Brighton, The Mean Fiddler, and at The Theatre Royal in Stratford (London), where she sang for HRH Prince Edward in 2002. Jo began rehearsing with 'The Pretenderers' and has embraced learning and playing those classic songs, working hard to do them justice and putting her heart and soul into respectfully recreating the magic that is The Preten

Andy began his musical career in legendary Liverpool bands the Decemberists and the Hellfire Sermons, before moving to London to join the Caretaker Race who had an album in the indie chart top 30 and toured extensively around the UK, Germany and Switzerland.
Now a professional guitarist and successful guitar teacher, Andy has been playing for well over 20 years and authentically reproduces the guitar sound and style of Pretenders guitarist James Honeyman-Scott.

Craig has been playing bass for over 20 years and has been in a number of tribute bands. Now the resident bass player in A covers band under the name "Cerveza".

Alan has been a member of Cloudbase and has gigged throughout the London area and has
recorded many tracks for this band.
