Band Info

Songwriting has been a lifelong passion for Riley Smith where he honed his skills as a singer, guitarist, and performer in his hometown of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Riley originally moved to Los Angeles to focus on what has proven to be a very successful acting career, but he never lost sight of his goals as a songwriter. He continued to compose and perform with an array of artists throughout L.A. The experiences gained from an acting career that has taken him all over the world have become the "high-octane fuel" for songs driven by melody and narrative. Influenced by the Americana sounds of Bruce Springsteen, John Mellencamp, and Bob Seger, Riley Smith is proud to debut an album of original material. Collaborating with award winning songwriters Michael Jay (Eminem), Henri O'Connor (Aaron Lewis), and Don Kirkpatrick (Rod Stewart), as well LA's top session musicians, Riley Smith's soon to be released album is sure to be a hit with all fans of great music. Recently at The Sundance Fi
lm Festival for his film "Weapons", Riley played an aucoustic show at the Gibson stage, in Park City, Utah. He shared the stage with the likes of Tyler Hilton, G Love, and Shooter Jennings. In the Meantime Riley has formed the Band "The Life Of Riley", with Band members Henri O'Connor, Steve Dress and Jonah Dolan. Recently they have been playing out around Hollywood at venues including The Hotel Cafe and Ghengis Cohen. Make sure to check out upcoming shows, and stay tuned for new songs on Myspace.
