Band Info

Booba Dust

R&B band formed recently, featuring Dick Daniel aka 'Lightnin' Dan', Rich Warren (a bass player who had relative UK success with his own outfits as well as touring with a string of critically acclaimed artists worldwide.) and Pete Tattersall aka 'George Thunderbird' (a Blues guitarist from way back in the late sixties, touring all over the country with bands Litter and Medicine Hat.) In the seventies he set up a Recording Studio (Yew Tree Farm) & concentrated on producing.
Dick & Pete met quite by accident in a Chicago Blues club of all places, in the late nineties, and were keen to get back home and form a low key Blues Duo, but nothing materialised as they were both working on other musical projects.

It wasn't until Daniel booked in to do some recording at Pete's new Studio (The Cedars) they rehearsed a few numbers and decided the time was right to get Booba Dust up & running.
Daniel has the more Jazz & Soul background, his influences include Charles Mingus, James Jamerson and the great Willie Dixon. Pete with the more rootsy down-home feel, think Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Elmore James and Slim Harpo.
Pete sat playing guitar, slide, harmonica and Singing (not forgetting his Amplified Foot!!!!) nailed down with Daniel's back bone bass rumble. Forms a fine combination for the Blues.

Genres: R&B
