Goats Don't Shave first formed in Smethwick in 1983 with a line-up featuring Ian the Goat on vocals, Ewan Watters - guitar, Richard Edwards - bass, George Russell - drums, Anthony Goldrick and Neil Fanthom - keyboards. Over the folowing six years they went through a few personnel changes, released two singles, nearly became famous and split in 1990. In 2001 Ian and Ewan restarted the band and do occasional gigs when they feel the urge.
