American singer songwriter, Mark Lanegan, is heading to the O2 Institute Birmingham to promote his impending album, Gargoyle. Starting his career with grunge band, Screaming Trees, Mark is also known for his involvement with Queens of the Stone Age.

Mark Lanegan first rose to fame in the early 90s with Seattle grunge band Screaming Trees, then proceeded to collaborate on numerous critically acclaimed side-projects and solo recordings.

From 2000-2005 he joined Queens Of The Stone Age before forging a fruitful union with Belle & Sebastian vocalist Isobel Campbell.

Since 2003 he has collaborated with Afghan Whigs singer Greg Dulli as The Gutter Twins.
